(Discussion) Does anyone know what's going on at Vintage-Erotica-Forum this time?

Been trying to find out myself, that was what led me here and encouraged me to sign up (I consider myself to be a boobies connoisseur!)

I have been unable to post my daily AI created Page 3 girl on VEF since Wednesday.

is it a coordinated take down? I saw another site sztar.com is down too - different issue but seems too many to be a coincidence

That is possible. The 502 issues were pretty consistent for months and the admins were letting the owners know. You could use the site if you were stubborn reloading the pages constantly. The 502 problem got better in the last month or so and now the 502 error is constant across all the sites they own/run (planetsuzy, etc) There was a takedown in 2013 at the other vintage site Myarchives.net. Someone installed malware onto the site but the owner came back in late 2014 with a backup and revived the site. That site died again in late 2021 but that was due to maintenance issues. I think the owner Tiger also passed away likely due to the pandemic. These were the two big vintage sites. It would be sad to see them both gone.

Add theperfectboobs.net to the list.
WTF?

There was talk about moving to new forum software before the site went down. I doubt these issues were part of that but maybe they have a recent backup they can restore from. The vbulletin software has quite a few security holes and stability issues.

VEF has gone from a 502 error to a 403 error.

That's progress of some sort I suppose!!!
Now it is back to a 502 again. It has been more than a week now. Unless the owners have a backup, not sure how this will come back to life. From the way vbulletin works, I know even admins and superadmins can't revive the site unless they have direct access to the server and control panel. Usually only the owners have access to that and it doesn't look like they are being proactive about getting it running again. I hope I am wrong but this doesn't bode well.

Looks like it may have been hijacked (or at least the Web address has) as it now goes to a completely different site forum.

VEF may be dead...

Actually, my saved link now takes me to babeforums which I have never heard of, typing in the base Web address gets me 502 error again.

Something seriously screwy going on.

Ah, good to see some concerned citizens here - surprised it took this long for me to find a discussion.
I was wondering whether there might be some news on RAME, but it's been decades (?) since I was
active on usenet and have no idea if the group is still alive, esp. now that google news is dead and I
don't see a lot of reason to sign up with a commercial usenet service.

Agreed, it looks like something's cooking; I too noticed the changing errors. I would have thought that
if they were killing these sites permanently there'd be a announcement as there were with empornium
and puretna. I also noticed imagevenue out of commission briefly and wondered if there was a connection
there.

VEF is back, but with this proviso

Down for a week , any clue?
The moderators and admins of theperfectboobs.net are complete morons. They are a bunch of super fools and mega idiots. Fools and idiots are not able to provide reliable services. Because of that, theperfectboobs.net has often and long downtimes. This is by far not their first longer downtime, and it will not be the last. As said: this is what you get when morons act ...
