I have that problem, in android i have an app that allows me to record video with the screen off but i cant find the same on iphone, someone knows any app? thankyou!

I would say don't use the iPhone. The camera location isn't good and the phones are so big there aren't many ways to do this anymore. Rethink how you get candids before it is too late.

Check out Camuflage... :)

Hey guys,

I'm trying to record some IG lives and Snapchats. What is the best software to do this on a Mac?

nephew showed me about quicktime...its on your computer already and is just a click away

here is a guide: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201066

the part about screen recording is a little down the page

and another one if you're recording from a Phone connected to the computer: https://www.tekrevue.com/tip/record-iphone-screen-quicktime/

good luck!

Hello guys, funny question yea. How do you screen record or screen grab videos without getting noticed or when there videos are protected? Anyone?

I merged yours (and other similar topic) into the main thread for this.

First, it does depend if you're on a phone, or a PC.

I don't Screen Record on my Phone. But, from my PC, I found that, ActivePresenter by ATOMI, is one of the better ones (a bit complex to start, but no annoying Watermarks).

For PC, OBS is a good all-rounder, though I only use it to record IG lives on PC (via the browser).

For Snapchat, your best bet now is to use your phone OS's native screen recording feature.
I used to use SnapTools to save snaps (some of which I've shared in this site), but since Snapchat 10.52.0.0 no longer works, nor will ST.

What of phone?

Which app is good for recording protected videos like snapchat videos

No clue, as I don't do SC.

However, try a Title search in this sub-forum for SnapChat recording. You may find something that way.

Screen recording is your best bet for Snapchat now.

SnapTools, an Xposed module for Android that allows you to save snaps, is no longer supported, and the Snapchat versions it supports no longer work either; the latter since April 11.

I used SnapTools to save snaps, some of which I've shared here, and it's been an excellent tool for stealth saving, among others. But since SC 10.52.0.0 no longer works, I had to say goodbye to it :(

I didn't even know there were any apps like that anymore. Last time I used something like that was Casper back in 2017.

Wow, I've only used Casper from late 2015 to early 2016, and moved on to Snapprefs—and later, SnapTools—so that I wouldn't get (temporarily) blocked for signing in to 3rd party apps (I had only one SC account and didn't want to make another one back then because of all the friends (mostly IRL ones) I've added).

Some time ago, I tried SnapTrap, another Xposed module that allows you to save snaps, but it didn't work for me; I couldn't even save a single snap, so I returned to SnapTools until recently.

Also, speaking of Casper, this is nothing short of amazing!

Also, just noticed he's 25 now which means he had to be only 17/18 when he made Casper. Yeah, I had no idea about all these other apps. I completely gave up on saving snaps from the source when Casper went down. We should keep an updated master thread on here that lists all current apps that work for snapchat, so it's easier to keep up with. Because most of them require root access I'm normally skeptical about installing such apps without asking around first and getting 2nd opinions.

I joined the paid subscription website of an individual porn star a few months back. Not going to say who she is. They do not allow downloading their videos. Its also frustrating because the way its designed, you can only have one video open at a time, so no qued up videos in other tabs.

They claim that they monitor user activity on their website. So I've got a few questions about a very dumb decision I might be making:

1. Can the website detect video downloads? I have a certain method where its possible.

2. Can they detect screen recordings?

3. Can something like a VPN help out with any of this?

I know I'm being super paranoid about this....

TL;DR: no.

Feel free to download to your heart's content, since saving a video or pic is not something that would ping your activity back to the webmaster or owner. Not even OF knows if you've downloaded subscription content, or even screen recorded, even if a creator has DRM enabled.

Is this also the case with ManyVids? Is there nothing imprinted upon download that would identify the sharer? Plus: Can one stay anonymous when buying customs, like pay with bitcoin, use a vpn and all fake credentials? Sorry, new to this. And many thanks for your response!

Since all you're saving is a video file, you should be all good.

Perhaps you could, so long as you use a different name, of course.
