Just Google her name, she was all over the papers here in the UK when she was sent down.

Did she do her time and get out in less than 7 months? I thought the justice system in the states was a joke. Maybe she didn't have to report yet?

You can usually get out in half the time you're sentenced for, if you behave.

I imagine she's already done it. Unless you've done something serious here you normally get out here on good behaviour, as far as I know though there's often still many restrictions which you must adhere to. Maybe an open sentence?

I admit there must be more to it than that but thats what the newspapers say but when do the newspapers ever manipulate stories to try and sell?

Normally if you behave yourself in prison they will release you from Prison for the remaining term after you have completed at least half or whatever was designated by the judge.

However while on early release she would have to meet with a probation officer for her remaining sentence and they would try to help prevent her from re-offending by addressing the problem at hand with various support requirements. However if she fails to meet with her probation officer or do anything they require of her she can be recalled to prison for either 28 days or for the remaining period of her original sentence.
