Views on porn/open sexuality in countries outside of the US?

Porn viewing and open sexuality seem fairly prevalent in the US yet far from truly accepted (which I don't think will ever happen). Just a few weeks ago I was finding out how certain porn stars tend to endure stigmatization in the areas where they live due to the nature of their work. I was wondering if there is similar hostility in other countries. All I've heard is that porn is outright banned in India and showing uncensored genitalia on film in Japan can result in jail time but outside of that I know nothing.

So yeah usually these discussions end up focusing almost entirely on Japan because of its standout reputation of:
(a) Having a lot of adult video and horny male buyers
- but simultaneously having -
(b) Strict censorship laws requiring genitals to be covered by a "mosaic" pattern.

The simple answer as to "why" the Japanese do that is that it is where their current comfort levels are in their culture. Up until ten years ago, they also required pubic hair to be covered - but they loosened up on that one and now you can show all the pubic hair you want, just no genitals.

I imagine every country has different comfort levels with pornography - it seems that in Holland and Denmark it is very open and everywhere. And, just like alcohol availability, you see people debating whether this is a good thing or a bad thing.

I think the internet has made the arguments much less relevant today than they were twenty years ago. That is because people will use the internet to find what they want to find anyway.

Me? I am a 100%, dyed-in-the-wool, boobhound. I would much rather see big hooters than look at the flat-chested androgynous females who walk the catwalk in fashion shows - whom I am told I am supposed to like more than seeing Milena Velba or Abbi Secraa shake their gorgeous huge gifts of nature. But I suppose that is another talk show for another day.

Well it's a bit different in the UK. I'm south east England and I was raised in an open household. So we're quite forward to these kind of things. For me I see it as a job where you can make a lot of money and be empowered at the same time. I know if I was a woman I'd probably be doing these things.

A close friend of mine used to do caming until they got into a close relationship and had children. She said it was good for money whilst she needed it but didn't want that to be her legacy kind of thing, nor wanted her children to find out about it by seeing her online one day. My mum used to be a phone chat lady many moons ago as a bit of extra cash when I was younger.

There are a lot of people who disagree with this kind of thing but I think the majority of us would be awkwardly British about it and never say anything.

I think everyone can become stigmatised by this kind of thing. It depends wether you let that become you or not I suppose though - Are you just trying to get people to throw money at you by any means or are you treating yourself like a business. Are you a Kelly Madison, Maria Moore, Leanne Crow & Jenna Jameson or are you one of the countless faces on some face fucking and glamour website.

No matter what level of hardcore you do you can separate your self from it as well. My friend used makeup and a realistic wig to make her look completely different so her porn self was and became treated as a separate person. Those who knew about her anyway.
