Lots of links to pages with ads and porn pop-ups

I've noticed lots of photo links are to sites where there's a delay while you watch an advert, or you have to click through a page to see the image. Some photo hosting sites, now widely, used have porn pop-ups.

I thought these weren't allowed on the forum. Time to enforce the rules?

Some of them are okay, like those posted by WackyTomato, because they're mainly quite fresh and good quality, but most of them are posted by bots and they just push it too far.

well nobody told me it was against policy. ******** is a legit image host.

not to mention, they're just posting the same stuff over and over. there's never really any new stuff. just a random mix of stuff that's usually been seen before...

I personally don't mind ********. It reduces the load on the board. Unfortunately, people are beginning to abuse it. When it begins to produce a negative user experience, which I think it already has, its time for it to go or be dealt with. (In my opinion) Lately Ive been banning people that dont respond to my private messages in reference to the content above.

I will discuss it with the other Mods. Sound good?

Yes, I think so.

That's exactly the problem I have with posts by WackyTom, Caneira etc.... Their threads usually start strong and then they keep replying with mostly the same pics over and over.... Wouldn't bother me as much if it didn't just seem like a lazy way to keep getting clicks.

...ok to be fair, Wacky's threads have stayed a little fresher than Caneira's.

What's disappointing is that I started using ******** because it originally didn't have all of the popups and advertisements and now it does. I stopped using Imagev because it got so bad with all of this stuff. Some of the pictures in my thread were originally uploaded so viewers didn't have to see all of that crap before they saw the image but now they do.
