EDIT:
See Post #12 for the difference between Full size image, Thumbnail preview and Attachment.

After the August 2018 Forum Upgrade, it was discovered that the software allows for Thumbnail(s) and Full size image(s) to be posted.

Not only can you not see the number of Views, images can take time to load. And, it can require a lot of scrolling (very bad for the cell phone users, I think).

Yes, there is an Add-on to disable this feature. But, it costs $ (initial purchase + yearly renewal) that admin does not care to spend at this time (and, I don't blame him, as he already spends several hundreds of US dollars every month to keep this forum for us).

It is in the rules (4c, https://www.titsintops.com/phpBB2/i...please-read-important-important-important.41/ ) about refraining from using full images. And, staff has edited hundreds of posts because full size images were used. Sometimes, inadvertently (wrong position of the cursor results in full size image(s), instead of Thumbnails being posted).

But, there is an easy self-fix to prevent it from happening.

Type in a short message. Or, if you don't want to post text, type in a few dots (...), or any key strokes, as something is required to be in the Message box.

Click Attach files to make your first media post. But, DO NOT click on the Insert: Thumbnail / Full image button to the right of the media.

Open the folder where you have the media you want to share. Then, after the media loads, select the media, and click the Open button. Repeat for any additional Attachments. NOTE: Up to 14 more images / short vids (If from the same folder, you can also highlight up to 15 media), and they will load back to back. And, if you accidentally exceed 15, or the filesize is too large, you will see strikethrough on the filename.

Then, click on the Post reply / Post thread (new topic) button at the bottom of the post.

Your media will be viewed as Attachments, and you can see the view count (# of clicks to view full size image, or slide show), which imo, is better than Thumbnails. And, doesn't take up the room the full size images do.

...

Simplified Steps:
1) Click the Attach Files button

2a) Add the 1st image; DO NOT click the Insert (Thumbnail / Full image) button in the upper left corner of the Preview

(full size image inserted for ease of reading)

2b) If needed, repeat for additional media (up to 9 more images)

2c) Click the Post reply / Post thread (new topic) button

3) End results will look like:

(full size image inserted for ease of reading)

And, as y'all can see by this tutorial, the pixel height of the image greatly effects the size of the Message box.

NOTE: While it is OK to use the Insert Video button (upper left corner of Preview, or the Media icon to the right of the :) emoji in the Message toolbar), the 3 NOV 2020 software upgrade means this step is NO LONGER required.

Added inline images to the tutorial for easier reading.

Added Insert: Video tutorial.

Forum software upgrade requires the 1st post to be edited.

Also, to show the difference between a Thumbnail (unfortunately, the recent software update does not keep them uniform), Full size Image and an Attachment.

Despite my 4 NOV 2020 update, saying Inserting Small Videos is no longer required, https://titsintops.com/phpBB2/index...opic-previewing-small-vids.111134/post-773303 , many members are STILL Inserting videos.

So along as the Attachment shows a preview, using the INSERT VIDEO button IS NO LONGER REQUIRED.
(if the "preview" attachment does not show the model, then a separate preview image is required).

And, tbh, especially for Smartphone and Tablet users, it is probably for the best.

Compare this post, using the Insert Video function to the next post, where the same video is an Attachment.
